Make Something Dreadful

Bad Art Night is back, with another great chance to express yourself creatively without judgement. Registration is required; program is for adults.

Another Bad Art Night.  

We'll supply you with lots of leftover art supplies - and a canvas - to freely express your inner weirdness. The only requirement for attendance is the willingness to have fun, and we don't even care if you're good at that. Worst Bad Art Award will be freely given to one participant with really, really bad art by someone who knows nothing about art. Registration required; program is for adults.

Have some fun. Meet some people. Take home some art.

About the branch

The Downtown Library is located at 450 5th Avenue SE, in the heart of Downtown Cedar Rapids. It is a 94,000 square foot building with a variety of civic spaces and a vibrant collection of library materials. Special features of this location are the Whipple Auditorium, a 200 seat auditorium overlooking Greene Square; and the LivingLearning Roof, a green roof with public seating and space to hold special events. Roasters Café is located in the Downtown Library, providing a full service coffee shop for visitors, as well as catering for meetings and special events.
