"Rocky Horror Picture Show" fans are invited for an interactive movie showing. Movie is rated R; this showing is designed for ages 18+.

“Let’s do the time warp again!” Prop bags will be provided, and costumes are encouraged to enjoy this cult classic that was released almost 50 years ago!

Part campy musical, part horror film, the movie details the travails of a squeaky clean couple stranded at a creepy castle where they experience shocking interactions with outrageous inhabitants.

Tickets will be available one hour before the showing on a first come, first-served basis. Doors will open at 1:45pm.

About the branch

The Downtown Library is located at 450 5th Avenue SE, in the heart of Downtown Cedar Rapids. It is a 94,000 square foot building with a variety of civic spaces and a vibrant collection of library materials. Special features of this location are the Whipple Auditorium, a 200 seat auditorium overlooking Greene Square; and the LivingLearning Roof, a green roof with public seating and space to hold special events. Roasters Café is located in the Downtown Library, providing a full service coffee shop for visitors, as well as catering for meetings and special events.
