Cedar Rapids artist Robert Wagner, also known as Daedalus Vaughner, creates multi-disciplinary art with a focus on realism and representation. His work will be on display throughout the spring.
"Through my experiences, I came to understand that the world was in a state of balance, tilting left and right with every action only teetering to one side or the other at the destruction of the whole. Along side the balance was chaos, the uncaring hand of fortune that decided the outcomes regardless of character, only slightly influenced by actions. I have experienced great misery myself and vicariously, as well as divinity and feeling both with the same intensity and acceptance. My journey has shaped me into an individual who genuinely believes that the heroic and courageous people of old stories manifest as archetypes. And just as the opposite makes itself known, those that strive to make the world a truly better place will restore balance."
