Are you learning English and looking to improve your communication skills and connect with others? Or maybe English is your first language, and you’re interested in helping others learn and practice their language skills? 

Join our Conversation Group in the Opportunity Center at Ladd Library! 

  • Practice speaking and listening - Engage in lively discussions on a variety of topics to help build fluency and boost confidence in your English speaking and comprehension abilities. 
  • Expand your vocabulary - Learn new words and phrases through real-life interactions that will enhance your speaking and comprehension. 
  • Cultural exchange and social interaction - Share experiences and insights with others from diverse backgrounds, fostering cross-cultural understanding. This is a great opportunity to connect with others and build friendships in a friendly, welcoming community. 

The group is led by a facilitator who will guide the sessions and activities, which may include structured discussions, fun games, or open-ended conversations that cater to all language proficiency levels. 

Whether you're here to practice, teach, or simply meet new people, the Conversation Group is the perfect place to improve your English skills and make new connections!

About the branch

The Ladd Library is located at 3750 Williams Blvd SW and is a 16,000 square foot facility. It features one community room with space for up to 50 people, which can be utilized for meetings and special events. The Ladd Library has a wonderful collection of materials, public computers, a children's library, and space to sit and read or tables to work or gather.
