Amber Hansen brings her unique blend of folk, pop, musical theater, and country music to the library. Performing her songs written specifically for kids, Amber will get everyone singing along.
All performances are first-come, first-serve – wrist bands will be handed out one hour prior to each performance.
Amber started singing at a very young age. She began singing the tunes of Dolly Parton, The Judds, and Reba McEntire as a child in her parent’s kitchen. With never-ending dreams of singing on the stage she fell in love with musical theater. As a music major in college she found love and purpose in teaching children to sing and love music. She has been an elementary music educator for almost two decades educating thousands of students.
Longing for a connection to her students when the Covid-19 pandemic caused schools to close, Amber began writing music specifically for her students in a series called “Songs for My Students.” She has continued to write music specifically for kids. The songs include themes in kid-friendly language to help children process the events of the world around them. Writing for children allows Amber to use her expertise in elementary music education. She also incorporates popular kid-friendly music into her shows, often encouraging audience participation. Her style combines her love of folk, pop, musical theater, and country music.
