Thursday, October 13 : Celebrating Median Bearded lris – Wanda Lunn LCMG
Extend the Iris bloom in your garden by growing Bearded Iris from the early 6" Mini Dwarfs to the 27" Border Bearded Iris. Many feature unusual color combinations! Great choices for smaller spaces or part shade gardens.
Thursday, October 20: Extending the Growing Season- Phil Pfister, LCMG
Enjoy home-grown early tomatoes and pick fresh broccoli from the garden for the holidays! Phil will discuss clever ways the home gardener can extend Iowa’s growing season. Topics include utilizing cold frames, row covers, hoop houses, and other ingenious ideas to prolong your garden’s productivity.
The Ladd Library is located at 3750 Williams Blvd SW and is a 16,000 square foot facility. It features one community room with space for up to 50 people, which can be utilized for meetings and special events. The Ladd Library has a wonderful collection of materials, public computers, a children's library, and space to sit and read or tables to work or gather.
