This week's Program to Go is for adults wishing to learn about healing from trauma. The kit features the book The Body Keeps the Score, which has been a NYT bestseller for over two years.
Bessel van der Kolk M.D. has spent his professional life studying the effects of trauma in our lives. In his book, The Body Keeps the Score, van der Kolk invites readers to face the reality of their trauma, contradict the associated helplessness, and regain self-mastery.
This unique Program to Go is available for pickup at the Downtown or Ladd Library. Kit includes the book The Body Keeps the Score, a meditative musical playlist available on hoopla, one of CRPL's free streaming services, and an adult coloring book. Registration is required; one per family.
Due to the demand for Programs to Go, please register only if you are able to pick up the kit on Friday, July 15 or Saturday, July 16.
