The Women's Studies Reading Group meets the first Thursday of every month from 6:30-7:30 pm at the Downtown Library. If you enjoy reading about different cultures and historical perspectives, and being introduced to new authors, new ideas and new friends, please join us. New group members are always welcome.

When a title is a part of a book club kit, it will be ready for pick-up the month before it's discussed. Book club kits are located Downtown and copies can be picked-up in person or by hold at any Metro Library Network location. The Downtown Library is located at 450 5th Avenue SE, in the heart of Downtown Cedar Rapids. It is a 94,000 square foot building with a variety of civic spaces and a vibrant collection of library materials. Special features of this location are the Whipple Auditorium, a 200 seat auditorium overlooking Greene Square; and the LivingLearning Roof, a green roof with public seating and space to hold special events. Roasters Café is located in the Downtown Library, providing a full service coffee shop for visitors, as well as catering for meetings and special events.
