A gathering for English language learners interested in practicing English and improving communication skills!

Are you learning English and looking to improve your communication skills and connect with others?

Or maybe English is your first language, and you’re interested in helping others learn and practice their language skills?

If either of these applies to you, we invite you to join our Conversation Group in the Opportunity Center at Ladd Library!

Why Attend Conversation Group?

  • Practice Speaking and Listening - Engage in lively discussions on a variety of topics to help build fluency and boost confidence in your English speaking and comprehension abilities.
  • Expand Your Vocabulary - Learn new words and phrases through real-life interactions that will enhance your speaking and comprehension.
  • Cultural Exchange and Social Interaction - Share experiences and insights with others from diverse backgrounds, fostering cross-cultural understanding. This is a great opportunity to connect with others and build friendships in a friendly, welcoming community.

What to Expect: The group is led by a facilitator who will guide the sessions and activities may include structured discussions, fun games, or open-ended conversations that cater to all language proficiency levels.

The Ladd Library is located at 3750 Williams Blvd SW and is a 16,000 square foot facility. It features one community room with space for up to 50 people, which can be utilized for meetings and special events. The Ladd Library has a wonderful collection of materials, public computers, a children's library, and space to sit and read or tables to work or gather.
