View a collection of fine ink and alcohol ink works by local artist, Rose Wambganss. This exhibit will be on display September through November.
Award-winning artist, Rose Wambsganss, creates intense but playful black and white
drawings utilizing the ancient creative-meditative process of Zentangle. Rose is a CSU-P
graduate and Masters Candidate who continues her education through local classes. Her
fine-line artwork can take 10-80 hours to complete. Her current mediums include fine inks,
alcohol inks, stained glass and silversmithing.
Throughout my years as an artist, I’ve learned the fragility of the connection between my
subconscious and the paper I draw on. My hands strive to balance the perfection of a straight
line or perfect circle. I move the viewers gaze throughout my art by utilizing the white space,
balanced with black and creating shades of gray with detailed patterns. There is something
so unyielding while sitting with a piece of paper and a black pen. The moment my ink pen hits
the paper its mark is final, unchangeable.
